Deep sea fishing here in Key West is a very popular type of fishing charter. Mostly because of the close proximity and short runs to deep blue water. The reef line is just 5.5 miles South of our island city. This is where the Gulf Stream is passing through and bringing many different species of fish with it. Once our boats cross the reef, these bountiful waters are where we go to fish. Further offshore, the depths plummet to 2000 feet quickly.
Here in Key West, some of the species of fish that we target throughout the year include: mahi mahi (dolphin fish), wahoo, tunas, sailfish and marlin. See our fish species calendar.
